From 4 to 6 September 2013 , Riga Pan Bus Terminal Association ( Association of Paneuropean Coach Terminals , e. V. ( APC ) ) and "Riga International Bus " as APC member of the Association of the 10th anniversary of existence of such activities within the framework of organized number of measures.
Pan Bus Terminal Association was founded in Riga in August 2003. The association acts as a good practice , innovative solutions to source and passenger terminal operations popularization .
September 4, 2013 plkst.14 : 00 "Riga International Bus Station " area ( Prague Street 1 ) will be a bus parade - "From the Past to the Future " (" From the past to the future " ) .
Bus parade will be able to view more retro buses for passengers and were used in the last century , when passenger route from Tallinn to Riga and Vilnius six decades ago.
Among them will be on display such legendary coaches as the " King of the Road " (" King of the Roads ") 1956 ZIS 127 , Ikarus Lux , the first bus, which started using the USSR , 1970 Ikarus 255, commonly known as the " Aquarium" ( " Aquarium " ) . All buses have been renovated and restored according to the original technical and visual condition and is now on the agenda.
Representing a decade - ` 90s , will be offered for viewing : 1982 Mercedes ( Mercedes ) 0303 and the first Volvo B12 Carrus , who is also regarded as Finland's recent achievements in automotive bus industry to date.
Latvian automobile will represent the company " Melati -LUX " restored RAF bus, which is the company's pride and kept in excellent condition.
Along with the retro buses, bus parade will also participate in the new technologies of the future electric bus from the " Solaris Bus and Coach SA " , equipped with the latest technologies .
From. 21:00 to 23:00 guests and interested parties ( places are limited ) will be able to leave a retro bus on the route Riga International Coach - January 13 Str - Merķeļa street - Kalpaks boulevard - Elizabeth Street - Export street - 11th November Embankment - Riga International bus Station .
The event is supported : Mootor Grupp AS ( Estonia) , Solaris Bus and Coach SA (Poland) , Ltd. ' Melati -LUX ' ( Latvia ) and JSC Riga International Coach Terminal (Latvia) .
